      SEAT RESERVATION LINK: https://www.jotform.com/app/222351507565454

Please make your reservation at least one (1) hour before you arrive to better assist you.  Giving the library ample time to prepare can help ensure that the minimum health standard protocols are observed.

    2. UP ID/FORM 5, FACE MASKS, and VACCINATION CARD are required and will be checked at the door for entry.
    3. Active Faculty members and staff are encouraged to send an email to: im.library@science.upd.edu.ph for any request/s.  The discussion area will be provided for IMath faculty which can accommodate a maximum of two (2) faculty members/staff.
    4. Curbside pickup is available by appointment to any enrolled or active UP students, faculty, and staff.
    5. Facial masks MUST be worn at all times.
    6. Two (2) meters of distance from other library users must be kept at all times.  Furniture is set up with physical distancing in mind so please do not move anything.
    7. All food is prohibited in the library. A designated snack area right outside the library is available to use.
    8. On disinfecting returned books, the IMath Library, following the recommendation of the Preservation Administrators Discussion Group of the American Library Association (PADG) and the CORE Preservation Outreach Committee, will quarantine the returned books or materials for seven (7) days.  This is being done as a precaution to slow down the spread of COVID-19. Because of this, you may return an item and still see it on your account for a week afterwards. Once the quarantine period is over, all items will be backdated to their original return date so no fines will occur because of the quarantine period.

Note: Allowing collections to remain untouched in quarantine is the recommended method of disinfecting library collection materials.

    9. If you have pulled an item from the shelves but no longer need it, please place it in one of the cardboard quarantine boxes that are located just beside the librarian’s desk.
    10. Please follow the IMath Library’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/mathlib) for new updates and important announcements.  All QR codes and links to the online forms will be posted on the page.
  • History

The setting up of the UP College of Science Institute Libraries was initially envisioned by Dr. Caesar Saloma in 2007, during the start of his 3-year tenure as CS Dean which was coterminous with then CSLIB Head Librarian, Mrs. Jocelyn Razal.  In April 2011, the actual setup of the Institute Libraries happened during the term of the current CSLIB Head Librarian, Mrs. Marie Antoinette Villaflor. Concurrently, it was during this time that most of the new buildings of CS Institutes were finally built in the National Science Complex; thus, spaces were provided for the Institute Libraries.  The initial phase in the establishment of the institute libraries was supervised by Mrs. Susannah V. Deasis until 2013.  Currently, Ms. Fraymon Joy P. Cruz is assisting the Head Librarian in supervising and improving the physical and digital learning spaces of the nine (9) Institute Libraries to support the College in its basic functions of instruction, research and extension services.
