Celebrating Dr. Renier Mendoza: Among Asia’s 100 Leading Scientists for 2025

The Institute proudly celebrates the inclusion of Dr. Renier Mendoza in the 2025 edition of the Asian Scientist 100. This yearly compilation of the continent’s distinguished scientists includes researchers and academicians who have been recognized for their research by their respective countries in the preceding year and those who have made a significant scientific discovery or provided leadership in academia or industry.

Dr. Mendoza is a Full Professor whose research covers various areas of applied mathematics, including inverse problems, numerical optimization, numerical analysis, mathematical modeling, and data science. He has previously received three prestigious awards from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST PHL) for his scientific contributions: the 2024 Outstanding Young Scientist Award in Mathematics, the 2021 Grand Prize in the Talent Search for Young Scientists, and a 2024 Outstanding Scientific Paper Award for his work on Baybayin Optical Character Recognition.
