2023 MSP Outstanding PhD Graduate Awardee

Congratulations to Dr. Dom Vito A. Briones for being honored as one of the two recipients of the 2023 Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) Outstanding PhD Graduate Award. In 2022, Dr. Briones successfully completed his PhD in Mathematics at the University of the Philippines Diliman, under the guidance of Dr. Jose Maria P. Balmaceda. 

The title of Dr. Briones’ dissertation is “Families of Association Schemes on Triples from Two-Transitive Groups”. His research findings have been published in Matimyas Matematika (http://mathsociety.ph/matimyas/images/vol45/BalmacedaMatimyas.pdf) and the Electronic Journal of Graph Theory and Applications (https://www.ejgta.org/index.php/ejgta/article/view/1656/pdf_250).

The announcement of the award took place during the 2023 Annual Convention of the Mathematical Society of the Philippines on June 3rd, 2023.
