International Day of Mathematics 2023

The Institute of Mathematics joined the celebration of the International Day of Mathematics, with help from the Institute of Mathematics Representatives (CSSC), UP Mathematics Club (UPMC) and UP Mathematics Majors’ Circle (UPMMC).

During the course of Math Week, the students conducted an outreach program and posted infographics and videos about interesting math topics such as the history of pi, the Collatz conjecture, the birthday paradox, and Gabriel’s Horn. In celebration of Pi Day, peach-mango pies and other freebies were distributed.
